The Panther Parent Association is proud to continue the tradition of bringing communal families together. Each event requires an outpouring of support from every person to ensure it’s success for our students and school.

Great traits for our Fundraiser volunteers may have a background in public relations, sales, customer service, marketing, hospitality or some sort of customer interfacing experience role. These committee members will work together to raise money through volunteering, planning and coordinating the fundraising events along with marketing and promoting the events to ensure a successful turn-out is achieved.

Barnes & Noble Book Fair

Overview: Students showcase their singing and various talents at the Barnes and Noble Book Fair that is held twice a year during the Christmas Season and the Spring. Family and guests visit Barnes & Noble and a portion of all purchases are donated to the school library. Volunteers are needed to promote the book fair and assist at the event.

Boosterthon Fun Run

Overview: A dynamic experience for our kids as the Boosterthon team brings messages of faith, fitness, character, integrity and service to our school. Students collect Fun Run pledges from family and friends during this exciting event that ends with the Boosterthon Fun Run. Volunteers help encourage students (i.e. cheer them on, hand out water) on the day of the Fun Run.

Box Tops for Education

Date of Class Prize: Box Top Basketball Game – March 16, 2017 in School Gym
Overview: Our goal this year is to collect 25,000 box tops! Volunteers help promote and manage EASY fundraising activity for our school. The volunteers assist in collecting, counting, and mailing Box Tops to earn money for the school. The class that collects the most Box Tops during the year receives the grand prize of playing the teachers in the Box Tops basketball game!

Golf Tournament

Parking

Overview: Volunteers assist in raising funds for school by collecting money from cars parking in the school lots and surrounding downtown parking lots during Lake Eola events. We ask for a 2 hour minimum shift if you are able to and will rotate volunteers.

Overview:  SCRIP is a Tuition Reimbursement Incentive Program that combines a school fundraising opportunity. Purchase gift cards at a discount from hundreds of national merchants then use the gift cards to pay for your day-to-day purchases instead of cash. The rebate earnings are split between you (75%) and St. James (25%) which goes directly toward our school’s operating costs.

Spirit Nights

Overview: Volunteers help organize periodic after school events to meet other parents/children and help build community spirit. The events include dine at restaurant nights (i.e. SJCS Tijuana Flats night and a % of revenue is donated to school), skating/bowling nights, food truck events, parent night out events.

Yearbook

Overview: Volunteers help take pictures of the student’s classroom activities, field trips and sporting events to submit to the committee chair for the school yearbook. Help promote the sale of yearbook throughout the year to benefit SJCS.  They may also assist in the design and layout of the yearbook as well as sorting yearbook orders to distribute to grade groups.
