Carrie Bailey – Kindergarten-8th Grade Music
Mrs. Bailey did her undergraduate work at West Chester University (Pennsylvania) where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance. She is certified in Music (grades K-12.) Mrs. Bailey has been serving St. James Cathedral School since 2001. She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and has been serving St. James Cathedral School since 2001.
Anna Lee Cathcart – Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher
Mrs. Cathcart did her undergraduate work at the University of Kentucky where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She also holds a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Georgetown College. She is certified in Elementary Education (grades 1-6) and ESE grades (K-12) Mrs. Cathcart has been serving St. James Cathedral School since 1988.
Susan Fay – Kindergarten-8th Grade Art
Mrs. Fay did her undergraduate work at the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business. She is certified in Art (grades K-12.) She has been serving St. James Cathedral School since 2003.
Ivette Gomez – PreK-3rd Grade Spanish
Michael Jennings – Technology
Mr. Jennings holds over 10 years experience teaching experiences with Orange County Public Schools where he was instrumental in developing students at Title 1 schools. He is a Florida certified Elementary Education Teacher with an ESOL Endorsement and holds a Master in Educational Technology from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Fordham University. His certifications include Florida Educator’s Professional Certification, designated “Highly Qualified”. He brings added knowledge in social media platforms where he helped enhance delivery of school communication with parents. Mr. Jenning’s volunteer work includes being a “District Executive” for the Central Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America where he works to build good character and moral values in our youth. Mr. Jennings is a parishioner of St. James Catholic Cathedral and a parent to St. James Cathedral School.
Vicki Jensen – K-6th Grade Physical Education
Ms. Jensen holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health from Slippery Rock University. She is certified in Physical Education (Grades K-12) in the state of Florida. Ms. Jensen is a member of the national and state associations of SHAPE America and is a Master Teacher through the Diocese of Orlando. Ms. Jensen has been serving St. James Cathedral School since 1986.
Luly Cueto-Lauridsen – Library Media Specialist
Mrs. Cueto-Lauridsen is veteran teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience. She has held various teaching positions including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades to name a few. She comes to us most recently from OCPS where she was the Library Media Specialist, former Dean of Discipline and 5th grade teacher. Mrs. Cueto-Lauridsen did her undergraduate work at the University of New Orleans and holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Florida International University and Teacher Education from Florida Atlantic University.
Laura McDonald – Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher, ALPHA Teacher
Mrs. McDonald did her undergraduate work at the University of Central Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She is certified in Elementary Education (grades 1-6,) ESE (grades K-12,) and Gifted Endorsed. Mrs. McDonald has been serving St. James Cathedral School since 1988.
Susan Quinones – Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher
Mrs. Quinones holds a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College. She is certified in Special Education. Mrs. Quinones has been serving St. James Cathedral School since 2009.
Anthony Rodriguez – 7th & 8th Grade Physical Education
Bringing over 20 years expertise as an educator, Mr. Rodriguez has excelled in the public school system where he has consistently received “Highly Effective” evaluations. As a result of his classroom and program management success, Mr. Rodriguez was assigned as both the Health & Wellness and Bullying Prevention Awareness Representative where he educated students on good character, accountability, and positive role model behaviors. Mr. Rodriguez hold a B.S. in Physical Education (K-12) from Florida International University and is an active volunteer coach with Catholic Youth Sports and Delaney Park Little League.
Joseph Sharkey – 4th-8th Grade Spanish
Mr. Sharkey did his undergraduate work at the University of Strathclyde where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Business Law. He in certified in Social Studies (grades K-6.) He has been serving St. James Cathedral School since 2014.
Christi Willard – Drama & Thespian Competition
Ms. Willard did her undergraduate work at the Florida State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. She has a Temporary Certificate in Drama. She has been serving St. James Cathedral School since 2015.
