CHEER!

We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do...

Our Cheerleading program at St. James Cathedral School has grown significantly over the past six years. Our cheer squad is built upon a foundation of valuable life lessons that are critical for young children as they prepare for a more competitive platform in high school. Students in K through 8th grades who participate in our Cheerleading program are taught the value of perseverance, dedication, social and emotional balance, and teamwork. We build upon these values keeping fun and fellowship first. These are values that help form and strengthen long-standing relationships with family and their squad members. Informational Flyer

BENEFITS OF CHEERLEADING

Cheerleading helps boost self-confidence as students prepare for high school. Competition is fierce at this level and having years of practice behind them will prove beneficial and give them a competitive advantage of making these squads. There are many health benefits as well as educational performance motivators since maintaining positive grade averages are a requirement for participation.

VOLUNTEER COACHES

Our Cheerleading program is a self-funded activity. Each cheer squad is coached by volunteer parents. This is an excellent way to get involved and share in your child(ren)’s interest while completing your Panther Promise volunteer hour commitment throughout the year.
